The preface reads, “This collaborative publication was realized in November 2023 coinciding with the opening of the exhibition “Birds Dot the Distance” at Kiralīk Depo in Istanbul; a duo exhibition including works from Kara Kendall, Hannah Park, and curated by Defne Cemal. The publication presents drawings by Cemal and Kendall during the past year without contact with one another. They are long time friends who met in University eight years prior to this publication.”
